The challenge
Hands On Atlanta had strong corporate partnerships and wanted to expand private foundation and government support. A broader revenue portfolio could help sustain its volunteer programs and community services.
The partnership
Beginning in 2014, Alloy worked with Hands On Atlanta on grant strategy, relationship building, and stronger tracking of program outcomes. Those foundations supported a growing grants practice.
The impact
The published case study reports the organization’s largest gift at that time, from the Marcus Foundation in 2018; new local government funding; a Volunteer Generation Fund federal award in 2021; and additional multi-year foundation support for AmeriCorps match funding.
The continuing story
Grant-seeking strategies evolved as the organization developed its programs and operations. Alloy’s story presents a partnership built over time, with coaching and a mix of private and public funding.
